Our Approaches & Techniques

At Mindful in Art, we use art and design because creating helps children settle, focus and feel more at ease. This gentle, practical way of working makes it easier for them to open up, reflect and build confidence.
Alongside the creative work, we teach emotional literacy, helping children understand their feelings, name them and express them safely. They also learn simple, effective tools for managing anxiety and big emotions. Our sessions follow trauma-informed guidelines, keeping everything calm, predictable and centred on emotional safety, choice and connection.
